The International  Journal of Astronomy and Astrophysics (JAA) is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal issued by the JDONS. The journal is dedicated to advancing critical and original research in astronomy and astrophysics, with particular attention to the observation, modeling, computation, and physical interpretation of astronomical objects, cosmic structures, and the universe. It provides an international forum for examining how scholarship in this field develops knowledge, informs professional and public conversations, and responds to emerging questions.

This journal is published by the JDONS, an organization, and functions as a cross-disciplinary publication platform for research in astronomy and astrophysics and for fostering international collaboration among faculty, researchers, field specialists, institutional leaders, and independent investigators. It fosters international collaboration among scholars, researchers, professionals, policymakers, educators, and independent investigators and supports rigorous peer exchange across disciplinary, geographic, institutional, and methodological boundaries.

The scope of JAA extends across the observation, modeling, computation, and physical interpretation of astronomical objects, cosmic structures, and the universe. Research may engage theoretical, empirical, comparative, historical, computational, experimental, interpretive, applied, or practice-based approaches, as appropriate to the subject.
